Founder/CEO

Mark is the CEO and founder of Stoneburner Wealth Management. He has been working with clients for over 30 years, offering independent financial services and specializing in full-service planning for individuals and small businesses.

Mark is an Investment Adviser Representative and Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®.

Mark is an avid golfer and an athletic volunteer in Dublin, and he has coached both youth football and basketball teams for years. Mark and his wife, Cathy, are members of the Ohio State University Buckeye Club, supporting the athletic advancement fund by raising money for athletics grants-in-aid, capital campaigns, and scholarships. Cathy was a four-year member and past president of the Pleasure Guild at Children's Hospital, raising money to support the hospital and its patients and families.

Mark and Cathy are Wittenberg University graduates. They live in Dublin and are the proud parents of four children, Jacob, Natalie, Olivia, and Caleb. Jacob is a former OSU and NFL football player and joined our team in 2017. Natalie and Olivia, both Ohio State graduates, are living and working here in Columbus. Natalie is an instructor and manager in the fitness industry; Olivia completed her master's degree in school counseling and is working for Columbus City Schools. Caleb is a 2021 graduate from The Ohio State University and joined the Stoneburner Wealth team in 2024 after two years at Fidelity.

Chief Investment Strategist/Managing Director

Janis is the chief investment strategist and managing director at Stoneburner Wealth Management. She began her practice in 1999 and joined the Stoneburner Wealth Management team in 2008. She develops custom investment plans for clients and does portfolio analysis and allocation, implementation, and risk management planning. Janis also designs and implements group benefits packages, including key executive planning, retirement plans, and life, disability, and health insurance. She also manages the staff and day-to-day operations of the office.

Janis and her husband, Mike, are both Miami University graduates. Janis has a BA in chemistry and graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University with a master's in health care finance. She is an Investment Adviser Representative and Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. Mike manages the Bassett Furniture store in Dublin.

In her spare time, Janis enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, gardening, and reading. She lives in Clintonville with her husband and their daughter.

Financial Advisor

Jake is a support advisor for the firm. He retired from the NFL after playing four years with the Packers, Dolphins, and Saints. Before that, he was very fortunate to be part of the Ohio State football team from 2008 to 2012 and on the 2012 undefeated team.

The experiences and lessons he learned over those nine years with OSU and NFL players' lack of money management have made him realize how critical financial planning is to families and their loved ones. Now he is adding his life experiences to our team.

In his spare time, Jake enjoys playing golf and being active in the community. Jake lives in Powell with his wife, Alex, their son, Harrison, and their two dogs.

Financial Advisor

Dave joined Stoneburner Wealth Management in 2024, bringing over 35 years of experience as an investment professional.  In 2016, Dave established Tartan Wealth Management, providing comprehensive planning for individuals focused on tax-efficient wealth management strategies.  Prior to starting his own firm, Dave spent 21 years as an investment wholesaler delivering investment product solutions to financial advisors and institutions.  He has been associated with firms such as Goldman Sachs, PIMCO, and firms providing alternative investment product solutions.  Dave is also the owner of Tartan Tax CPAs, a full service tax preparation and consulting firm.*  

Dave is originally from the Akron area and earned his bachelors degree from Kent State University and his MBA from the University of Dayton.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Ohio and a CERTIFIEDFINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner.

Dave and his wife Kelly live in Dublin and are parents to three children: Taylor, Sydney and Ryan.  Taylor is an interior designer in Nashville, Sydney works in the insurance industry in Chicago and Ryan attends Miami University.  In his free time, Dave enjoys golfing, exercising and reading.

*Tax and accounting services offered through Tartan Tax CPAs are separate and unrelated to Commonwealth.

Project Support

Mark’s wife, Cathy, also works in our office, helping out on special projects throughout the year.

Administrative Support

Angie has over 30 years of administrative experience, over 20 of those years as an administrative assistant in the financial planning industry. Assisting clients has always been her main priority, as she believes client satisfaction is of the utmost importance. Whether scheduling an appointment, helping with new accounts, or servicing an existing account, she will follow through from beginning to end to make sure the request has been completed.

Angie is a five-year breast cancer survivor and has learned to live life to the fullest. She likes to take road trips and go on adventures. She enjoys “playing” in the kitchen to find new recipes and dabbling with writing poetry. But, most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and having fun in the sun. Angie lives in Delaware and has two daughters, Taylor and Raygan. She is also a "Mamaw" to her grandson Case. She looks forward to spending time with them, especially the family dinners on Sundays.

Paraplanner

Caleb is a paraplanner for Stoneburner Wealth. His primary role is to provide support for other SWM advisors in the financial planning process. Caleb will also focus on our structured protection strategies that are critical to our client’s financial success.

Caleb joined us in 2024 from Fidelity investments. At Fidelity, he passed his SIE, series 7, 63 and 66. After spending time as a mutual fund trader, he joined the investment solutions team which specialized in retirement planning, fixed income strategies and investment allocations.

In 2017, Caleb started his college career playing D1 football at Boston College, he then transferred and graduated in 2021 from The Ohio State University studying consumer and family financial services.

In his free time, Caleb enjoys playing golf with family and friends. He also enjoys staying physically active.
